Dani Stromert

Director

My name is Danielle Stromert and I am serving as the director of the King of Kings Childhood Education Center. With over 9 years of early childhood teaching experience, I have enjoyed taking on on this leadership role. I grew up in the Cedar Rapids area and attended Iowa State University, where I earned my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. As an alumna of Trinity Lutheran School, it is a blessing to be supporting the Lutheran education ministry. I look forward to meeting and working with our staff and families.

Taylor Guerra

Assistant to the director

My name is Taylor Guerra and I am serving as the Assistant Director of the KOK Childhood Education Center. I have over 7 years of experience in early childhood and have enjoyed taking on this new role. 
I was born and raised in the Cedar Rapids area. I enjoy serving in various youth ministry roles through my church including elementary students, high school students and summer camps. I have also been involved with coaching youth girls basketball teams since 2010. In my remaining free time, I enjoy spending time with my nieces, family and friends. I am very excited to meet all of the families who enroll at here at KOK Childhood Education Center.

Rachel Myers

Lead Preschool Teacher

My name is Rachel Myers and am the lead preschool teacher at King of Kings CEC. I recently graduated from the University of Northern Iowa this past December with my Early Childhood Education Degree.
I was born and raised in Marion. I have worked with children for as long as I can remember from starting in my church's nursery and babysitting. I have also nannied, helped with VBS, children's church and I recently worked in the public school setting. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband bike riding, traveling and crafting. I look forward to working with your family.

Lilly Rompot

Before and after school teacher

Hi my name is Lilly Rompot and I am working in the before and after school program. I recently graduated from Marion High School.

I was born and raised in Marion, Iowa. I have two golden retrievers. I also have a younger brother. I love working with kids.

Maddy Simmers

Lead toddler/2s teacher

My name is Maddy Simmers and I am grateful to be a part of KOK Childhood Education Center as the Lead toddler/2s teacher. I have worked with children clear back in middle school and I am happy to still be a part of early childhood education.  I was born and raised in Cedar rapids. I am married and have two children of my own that are a part of KOK and they both absolutly love it! In my free time I enjoy hunting, fishing and spending time with my family. I look forward to meeting new families and adding more to my toddler/2s class at KOK Childhood!

Jenni Lown

Assistant Preschool Teacher

My name is Ms. Jenni and I am so excited to be in preschool this year. After working as a PK/K assistant teacher for 7 years, I decided to go back to school to become a teacher! I am currently in my last year at UNI in the Elementary Education 2 + 2 program.

Emily Winchester

Lead Toddler Teacher

Hi, my name is Ms. Emily and I am the lead teacher for the one year old class. I am looking forward to teaching our kiddos and watching them grow and explore. 

I grew up in Cedar Rapids and still live in the area. I attended Kirkwood Community College and then transferred to MMU and received my art degree. I am excited to share my passion for creativity with our kids.

Delvina Gamez

Assistant Preschool Teacher

Hello! My name is Ms. Delvina and I am so glad to be here. Although I am new to King of Kings, I taught many years at McKinley as a special education teacher and I worked as an assitant at a locak Parents Day out program. 

I have three children. We have cats, dogs, and a hamster. 

I am originally from Sioux Falls, SD. but have lived in Cedar Rapids for 30 years.
